Oily Cart require a female performer for new complex needs show MIRROR, MIRROR

Oily Cart, the theatre company with an international reputation for its work with young people with complex learning disabilities, are looking for a wonderful performer for our new production MIRROR, MIRROR

This new multi-sensory and intensely interactive production will tour to Special Schools and theatres around London and the UK. As well as being a fantastic performer, you will need a terrific singing voice and must be prepared to develop close-up communication skills.

Salary: £509.13 per week, plus per diems and accommodation provided whilst on tour.

Dates:

Rehearsals 7 March to 8 April 2016 with previews (London).

Bring back rehearsals and national tour from 5 September – 30 October 2016.

With another national tour taking place in May – early July 2017.

Oily Cart are seeking an experienced ebook Designer

To celebrate, Oily Cart’s 35th Anniversary, we aim to publish a multi-media e-book. The title of the book will be All Sorts of Shows and will include a compilation of six classic scripts by Tim Webb, including photos and video clips.

The texts to be included are:
Baby Tube - 6 months to 2 years
Ring a Ding Ding – Early Years
In A Pickle – Early Years
Conference of the Birds – 5 – 19 years with Complex Disabilities
Light Show – 5 – 11 years with Complex Disabilities
Pool Piece – hydro-show for 5 – 19 years with Complex Disabilities

The book will also include a short introduction by Tim Webb; original casts, credits and funders as Appendix.

The publication will be roughly 25,000 words, which in draft form comes to a total of 100 pages of A4.

Reporting to the Head of Design and the Touring Producer, you will be required to design the ebook and manage the publication of the ebook on all appropriate applications. This is a once-off job but there is scope for future opportunities. The successful candidate should be adept at brainstorming concepts, working to a deadline and providing key creative input whilst also staying true to the unique aesthetic of the company.

As well as a full CV and covering letter, can you please send four or five examples of work, the best way to do this is on a PDF document all in a single folder no more than 5mg in size.
The fee is negotiable and will be based on career level and previous experience.

The deadline for application is Monday 15th February, with interviews taking place on Thursday 18th & Friday 19th February.

The deadline for completion is mid June 2016.
