"...Anyone who thinks theatre and babies don't mix should prepare to be proved wrong by Oily Cart theatre company this February.
Specialists in theatre for the very young and for children with complex disabilities, the Wandsworth-based theatre company are premiering their new show Drum at Earlsfield's TARA studio.
The production is aimed at children between six months and two years and numbers are being kept to 30 a performance, to enable a fully interactive experience.
If the thought of a room full of babies and drums fills you with horror, fear not. 'We're not banging the drums' says Tim Webb, the artistic director, 'The big bass drum will become a shadow screen showing the strong, uncluttered images that young babies prefer...This is our fourth production for this age group and I think the secret is to have a range of things on offer."
